How prep access works

Scoped to a real date, not an honor system

Every path that touches prep content — Complete, the Core add-on, and both Passes — works the same way underneath.

01

Declare your writing date

Pick from a fixed list of real bar/baby-bar administration dates — not a freeform field — so content stays scoped to what's actually relevant to you.

02

Access opens on a window

Passes open ~10 weeks (Bar) or ~6-7 weeks (Baby Bar) before your date and run through a short grace period after — Complete's access just continues since it's already a subscription.

03

Sitting again? Extend, don't repurchase

A discounted retake-extension carries a Pass or Core add-on into your next sitting. Your history and spaced-repetition progress carry over untouched.

The honest part

Peppercorn's questions, model answers, and outlines are generated by AI. They're built to be accurate and exam-realistic, but AI can be wrong — including on points of black-letter law. Use it to drill and stress-test your understanding, not as your only source of truth. It isn't affiliated with the NCBE, any state bar, or any law school.

Questions

Pricing FAQ

Why is the Pass more expensive per week than Complete?

Deliberately — week for week, the Pass costs more than a Complete subscription would over the same stretch. It's built for someone who genuinely just needs a short, scoped burst around one exam, not as a cheaper backdoor into an ongoing subscription's feature set.

Can I buy a second Pass if I'm sitting the same exam again?

Not a second full-price Pass for the same sitting. Instead, a discounted retake-extension carries your existing access into the next sitting period — your progress and history come with it, nothing resets.

What happens to my Core plan if I add prep access?

Nothing changes about Core itself — the add-on layers Socratic, Issue Spot, Simulation, and prep-scoped Learn It on top for your declared writing window, as a one-time charge. You keep paying $49/mo for Core as normal.

Do I have to declare an exam date to use Complete?

Only if you want the prep-scoped content (Socratic/Issue Spot/Simulation/Learn It filtered to bar or baby-bar material). Complete's everyday modes work the same with or without a declared date.

Can I cancel Core or Complete anytime?

Yes — both are ongoing subscriptions you can cancel whenever, no minimum commitment beyond the current billing period.
